When you have the wettest year in 100 years and roads/houses built in floodplains no amount of engineering is going to solve the drainage issues. This is more a problem with zoning laws allowing structures to be build in floodplains. It doesn't help when people choose to drive their vehicles into deep and swift water.
Yellowk9, What's your comment when it's define by the state of Arkansas that you're
NOT in a flood zoning area and you can't get the insurance for flooding? As far as people driving in the water intentional................that's plain
STUPID for you to make such a comment! What if it had been your wife, mother or child
? It was raining so hard that night you couldn't see anything. I worked that particular night so, what's your reasoning? Don't make ignorant comments because you can! Read any article from other states about Arkansas they always expect us to make dum backwood statements. Did you just prove them right?
